Neillsville Girls Dominate Gilman

The Neillsville girls basketball team's defense forced a number of turnovers that turned into points in a 68-40 rout of Gilman in Eastern Cloverbelt Conference basketball on Friday night...Neillsville led 28-15 at halftime, led by Ali Schoengarth's 8 points. Gilman's Emma Warner had 11 in the first half but was held to just 2 in the second half.
The Warriors had a big second half, outscoring the Pirates 40-25. Schoengarth had 8 second half points to finish with a game high 16 points. Sam Cappadora had 14 points and Kelly Barth added 9. Warner led Gilman with 13 points.
Neillsville improved to 8-2 in the ECC and 12-2 overall. Gilman fell to 4-6 in the conference and 7-6 overall.
