94 Yard Drive Leads To Loyal Playoff Win

The Loyal Greyhounds drove 94 yards, chewing up almost 7 minutes on the clock, to score the go ahead touchdown in a 24-17 win over Gilman on Friday night.With around 7:05 left in the game Loyal took over at their own 6 yard line. Loyal's passing game was doing nothing so they had to rely on their ground game. Using more misdirection and counters, the Greyhounds used all their running backs on the drive, culminating in a 1 yard score by Stephen Buchanan with :30 left. The 2-point coversion was good and Loyal led 24-17. Gilman did get into Loyal territory but their drive failed on a fumble and Loyal hung on for the win.
