Rock Sweeps Bodybuilding Competition

Stratford native David Rock competed in the NPC Northstar Body Building Show in Burnsville, MN over the past weekend and finished first in 3 classes.Rock competed in the classics physique division which is classic bodybuilding which goes back to the 70s and 80s era of bodybuilding. Competitors came from all over the Midwest.
This was the first time he has competed in a body building show and he entered himself in the novice class which is for people competing in their first show. He also entered into the open class which is the most competitive which has many veterans in the sport. David won both of those classes and then went up against all the winners of the rest of the classes and won that as well to take home title of "Best Classic Physique Competitor of the Show".
As far as going up to the next level, with his wins at Burnsville he now qualifies for a National level show but he plans to get back into training and work on some things to be even better before advancing. He does want to compete on the National level but he is going to be patient before going to that next level.
David recently took a new job as a National Guard recruiter in Sussex. He and his wife will be living in Brookfield.
