Neillsville Tops Auburndale In Girls Basketball

The Neillsville girls basketball team improved to 7-1 after a 54-24 win over Auburndale on Thursday night at the Fieldhouse.The Warriors never trailed in the game taking a 29-12 halftime lead and then outscored the Apaches 25-12 in the second half for the win.
Lauren Mesar led all scorers with a game high 16 points, Samantha Cappadora added 11 for Neillsville. Neillsville did struggle from the free throw line making just 6 of 16. Hannah Bolder led Auburndale with 14 points.
