Diestler Has Career High 21 In Warrior Win

Sophomore Monte Diestler had a career high 21 points on 7 three pointers for Neillsville in an 87-50 win over Greenwood on Thursday night.Diestler made three 3's in the first half and 4 more in the second half. The Warriors made 13 three pointers as a team. Neillsville led at the half 38-19 as Greenwood made 12 of 12 from the free throw line in the half.
In the second half, the Warriors stayed hot from the outside and outscored Greenwood 49-31 to get the lopsided win.
Neillsville had 4 players in double figures led by Diestler's 21. Dominic Elmhorst had 14 points, Logan Matson had 12 and Braden Trunkel added 11. Greenwood was led by Devin Toburen with 9 points, Trenton Klabon had 8.
Neillsville improves to 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern Cloverbelt. Greenwood falls to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the ECC.
