"Panther Pride" Youth Basketball Camp Held

The Neillsville Recreation Department in cooperation with the University of Milwaukee Women’s Basketball team held a youth basketball camp for boys and girls, in 5th-9th grade on Saturday, September 23rd at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Six members of the UWM Women’s Basketball Team were the lead instructors, with assistance from UW-Madison Basketball Club standout Katelyn Crothers, Coach John Gaier, & current athletes Samantha Cappadora & Noah Henchen. Neillsville Alumnus Jenny Lindner, now a senior at Milwaukee, along with her Panther teammates enjoyed working with the kids of Central Wisconsin. Jenny’s primary focus in bringing the camp to Neillsville was to give back to the community and program that have always been supportive of her basketball career.
103 youngsters from area communities participated, with proceeds raised dedicated to the Neillsville Youth Girls’ Basketball Program.
