"Team Faze" Wins Co-ed Softball Tourney

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their "2nd Annual, Coed Softball Tourney" this past weekend at Listeman Park.Eight teams from throughout central Wisconsin participated as 19 games were contested. Capturing the championship was, "Team Faze" of Neillsville with a solid 5-0 record, giving up only 5 runs during their 5 contests. Members of the gold medal winning team were: Nate McDonald, Mike Dux, Aaron Ollech, Kenny Pettit, Brian Brost, Jason Kurth, Corrina Craig, Katarina Nemitz, Sabrina Weyer, McKenzie Trunkel, & Jordan Ehlers.
Garnering second place was "Deer View" of Merrillan Their team included: Jamie, Joel & Aaron Sischo, Dean Bryan, Jamie & Regan Barth, Ellie Moseid, Samantha Cappadora, Brianna Roehl, Peyton Schmidt, Scotty McConnel , Claire Brown, Julia Diggins, Jake Ormond, Jeremy Barth, & Thomas James.
Placing third was "Rockin the Decades" of Granton while "Royal Blue Rentals" of Neillsville placed fourth.
Capturing the consolation championship was "Harder Built Construction" of Neillsville as they slipped by "Long Hammer Construction" also a local team in the championship game. Rounding out the tourney was the American Legion Hall and R & R Roofing, both of Neillsville.
The Rec. Dept. would like to thank the many individuals who volunteered their time to make the tourney a success.
