Youth Softball & Baseball Awards Presented

The Neillsville Rec. Department held their annual Juniorette softball, T-ball and Dads and Lads "Awards Picinic" on Tuesday, July 18th at the school softball diamonds.

JUNIORETTE SOFTBALL AWARDS
All girls who participated in the program received certificates. Teams and their honored players included:

Tigers: Grace Biebert, Kennedy Wanish, Brailey Opelt, Alaina Mathis, Dakota Gaede & Adelyn Marine

Terrapins: Rachel Dux, Karcyn Schmitz, Devyn McDonald, Natalie Burkhalter, Kysha Rakovec, Azalya & Zinnia McNeely

Yellow Jackets: Emerson Ormond, Bailey Zank, McKendy Barth, Karli Gross, Maddie Shaw, Delayni Fitzl & Laylah Walk

Fighting Illini: Madilyn Davel, Dani Schoolman, Ella Dittner, Brooklyn Raese, Ali & Braelyn Anding & Haylee Schultz

Waves: Iris Edgington, Addisyn Kranz, Shaylen Pierce, Riley Hemp, Claire Boon, Taylor Bower & Siya Patel

Wildcats: Marie Hagmann, Nevaeh Stenulson, Kahlea Decorah, Kaylah Walk, Alexa Gross & Ava Kruschke

Following the ceremony, ice cream and root beer, donated by A&W & Hanson’s IGA, were enjoyed by all.

Juniorette Softball is a program for girls 7-10 years of age that stresses the fundamentals of the game with very little emphasis on winning and losing. This years instructors/coaches included: Malory Zickert & Ellie Moseid.





BOYS T-BALL AWARDS
All boys who participated in the program received certificates. Teams and their honored players included:

Wolverines: Landon Rakestraw, Dayton Harder, Braeden Mortenson, Caleb Bixby, Timmy Beelman, Nathan Moltzen & Kyle Langreck

Bulldogs: Marcus Luchterhand, Skyler McDonald, Joey Kaufmann, Andrew Volovsek, Zeb Schultz, Landon Bergemann & Shaylan Patel

Gators: Koby Roenz, Boden Opelt, Taylan Suda, Hunter Von Ruden, Karson Grefsheim, Evan Gross & Max Brey

The Neillsville Recreation Department would like to thank the volunteer coaches/instructors of the league, Josh Lewis, Kevin Langreck, Josh Hemp, Jason Koepp, Adam Luchterhand, Luke Bergemann, Kurt Kaufman, Joe Schultz, Matt Roenz, Mike Von Ruden, Joe Bartz, & Jake Ormond. Their dedication and expertise was very much appreciated. The Recreation Department would like to thank Cummins Inc. for purchasing new uniform jerseys for the players.

Dads and Lads is a baseball program for 6 year old boys and girls which stresses parental involvement and concentrates on the fundamentals of the sport with no emphasis on winning and losing.
