The Optimist Club of Neillsville conducted their annual Tri-Star Basketball competition for boys and girls ages 8-13 on Friday, March 10th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.

Also competing and earning medals were these pre-eligible athletes: Brailey Opelt, Max Koepp, Adam Hoeser, Camden Dillenbeck, Marcus Luchterhand, Masin Walter & Boden Opelt.

The event included competition in passing, dribbling and shooting skills. Each first place winner received a plaque, while all other participants received medals or ribbons. The first place winners in the local contest now have the opportunity to compete in the state Tri-Star competition held in Fond du Lac in April.
