Loyal Girls Heading To State For The First Time!

The Loyal Greyhound girls basketball team will make their first ever trip to State this Friday after a 68-51 Sectional Final win over Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran on Saturday at Waupaca.The Greyhounds got out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back, taking a 38-20 lead into the locker room led by Morgan Reinwand's 13 points and Remi Geiger's 4 steals.
In the second half, the Blazers starting knocking down some outside shots and Loyal missed several layups, but Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran could not get their deficit under 10 points and the Greyhounds won by 17.
Reinwand was the leading scorer with a game high 22 points, Remi Geiger had 17 and Karsyn Rueth added 12 points.
Loyal (23-4) will now take on Bangor (24-3) in a Division 5 State Semi-Final from the Resch Center in Green Bay on Friday morning at around 10:45 am. You can hear the action live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
