Loyal Girls Advance To Sectional Final

The Loyal Greyhound girls basketball team is one game away from their first trip to State after a 72-44 Sectional Semi-Final win over Tri-County on Thursday night at Marshfield.The Greyhounds led by 10 at the end of the first half, 33-22 and then outscored Tri-County 40-22 in the second half to secure the win and a trip to the Sectional Final on Saturday afternoon in Waupaca.
Loyal had 4 players in double figures led by Morgan Reinwand with 22 points, Karsyn Rueth had 19, Remi Geiger 11 and Hailey Rueth added 10.
Loyal (22-4) will now take on Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran (15-10) in the Sectional Final at noon on Saturday at Waupaca High School. You can hear the action live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
