Neillsville Girls Advance To Regional Final

The Neillsville girls basketball team advances to the Regional Final after a hard fought 45-39 win over the Edgar Wildcats on Saturday night.Neillsville led 11-0 early but Edgar was able to get back into the game with pressure man-to-man defense and trailed 23-16 at the half.
In the second half, Edgar got to within 3 points but Neillsville was able to run time off the clock on offense and force the Wildcats to foul. The Warriors were able to make their freethrows down the stretch and hang on for the 6 point win.
Lauren Mesar led the way for Neillsville with 12 points. Samantha Cappadora added 7.
Kamryn Butt led Edgar with 13 points, Macey Wirkus had 12.
Neillsville (21-2) will now play Marathon in the Regional Final on Monday at Neillsville. Game time is 7 pm and you can hear it live on 92.7 FM WPKG.
