Loyal Hands Neillsville Their First Loss

The Loyal Greyhound girls basketball team handed the Neillsville Warriors their first loss of the season on Friday night 66-48.

The Greyhounds (9-1, 12-3) got out to a big early lead and never let up, leading 26-15 at the half.

Loyal never let Neillsville (10-1, 12-1) get closer than 9 points in the second half, outscoring Neillsville 40-33 to secure the win.

Kayla Lis of the Warriors scored 15 of her game high 19 points in the second half. No other Neillsville player scored in double figures. Neillsville was 12 for 16 from the freethrow line.

Loyal was led by Morgan Reinwand with 18 points, Karsyn Rueth had 17 points and Remi Geiger added 15. The Greyhounds converted on 21 of 26 freethrows.
