Lindner Scores 1000th Point In Panthers Win

Friday, January 13th, 2017 -- 4:39 PM

Jenny Lindner of Neillsville led UW-Milwaukee with 20 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season and also netted her the 1,000th point of her Panther career in 81-69 win over Detroit Mercy on Friday!

Jenny became just the 20th player to do that in program history and doing so in just her 79th game to become the seventh-fastest to that figure in Panther history.

Lindner came into the game needing just 13 points to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for her career and was hot early. She scored seven in the opening quarter to keep Milwaukee at pace with the Titans' hot shooting and then reached the milestone with 2:06 remaining in the first half on a three from the top of the key on an assist from Farley.

"I didn't know exactly what basket scored the 1000th point, but I knew the amount I needed just from teammates and coaches telling me," Lindner said. "When I looked up at the board I saw and was just like 'Oh, I got it.'

Congratulations Jenny!
