Schmidt Leads Warrior Win

Senior Adam Schmidt had a game 20 points to lead the Neillsville Warriors past the Owen-Withee Blackhawks on Tuesday night 68-56.Schmidt scored 12 of his 20 points in the first half as the Warriors trailed by 7 at 35-28. But Neillsville (1-0)got hot from the outside and turned up their defensive pressure and outscored the Blackhawks (0-1) in the second half 40-21 to pull away for the win.
Freshman Alex King had 14 of his 17 points in the second half including four 3 pointers. Issac Bryan scored 11 of his 19 points in the second half including three 3 pointers. Neillsville made 14 three's total in the game.
Kole Karaba led Owen-Withee with 16 points, Marlin Pogodzinski added 10.
Neillsville will host Gilman on Friday night at The Fieldhouse.
