Loyal Vs Owen-Withee: Part 2

Thursday, October 27th, 2016 -- 11:12 AM

The Loyal Greyhounds and Owen-Withee Blackhawks will meet for the second time this season on Friday night in a Division 7 Level 2 Playoff football game at Loyal High School.

These two teams met way back on the first game of the season on August 19th. A game that Loyal won 41-12 at Owen-Withee. Hunter Much ran for over 200 yards in that game for the Greyhounds but he is sidelined with an injured shoulder.

Both teams like to run the football and both have mutiple backs. Owen-Withee had over 200 yards rushing in their Level 1 win over Hurley, led by Kevin Kitlica's 134 yards and Kole Karaba's 104 yards. Both are over 1,000 yards for the year. Loyal also had over 200 yards on the ground in their win over Almond-Bancroft, led by Clayton Rarick's 111 yards and Stetson Rueth with 91 yards on the ground.

Greyhound head coach Chris Lindner says that both teams are playing well right now and it should be a "dog fight" on Friday night.

Owen-Withee, the 6th seed in this Group, is 7-3 on the season while the Hounds are the No. 2 seed and are 9-1 on the season. The winner Friday will take on either Edgar or Wild Rose in a Level 3 matchup Nov. 4 or 5th.

Catch all the action of the Division 7 Level 2 Playoff - Owen-Withee at Loyal live on 92.7 FM WPKG. Game is 7 pm with the High School Football Weekly Show starting at around 6:20 pm.
