Neillsville/Granton Moves On To Regional Final

The Neillsville/Granton girls volleyball team will play in a Regional Final on Saturday night in West Salem after beating Black River Falls in the Regional Semi-Final on Thursday night 3-1.The Warriors lost the first game 24-26, but came back to win the next three - 27-25, 25-15, 25-21 to win the match and advance to the Regional Final on Saturday night.
"I'm very happy with how we played tonight, even on that first game that we lost", said coach Tia Opelt. "The girls continued to fight to win. We had some up and down moments but I'm happy with how we played overall. We need to continue to fight and play together for Saturday."
Top stats for the night were Lexi Opelt with 25 good serves and 0 serve errors, Mindy Schoengarth with 19 good serves, Jocelyn Thur with 25 kills, Allison Erickson with 9 on target serve receives, Ashlee Diestler with 9 on target serve receives, Sam Cappadora with 6 solo blocks, Jocelyn Thur with 5 solo blocks, Lexi Opelt with 35 assists, Mindy Schoengarth with 16 digs, and Allison Erickson with 14 digs.
Neillsville/Granton will now playin the Regional Final at West Salem this Saturday night at 7:00
