“Panther Pride” Youth Basketball Camp Held

The Neillsville Recreation Department in cooperation with the University of Milwaukee Women’s Basketball team held a youth basketball camp for boys and girls, in 5th-9th grade on Saturday, September 24th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Five members of the UWM Women’s Basketball Team were the lead instructors, with assistance from Coach John Gaier, Jodi Hetchler and Samantha Cappadora.
Neillsville Alumnus Jenny Lindner, now a junior at Milwaukee, along with her Panther teammates enjoyed working with the kids of Central Wisconsin. Jenny’s primary focus in bringing the camp to Neillsville was to give back to the community and program that have always been supportive of her basketball career.
103 youngsters from area communities participated, and all proceeds raised will be dedicated to the Neillsville Youth Girls’ Basketball Program.
