The Neillsville/Granton girls volleyball team topped Gilman on Thursday night 3-0 in Cloverbelt Conference play at The Fieldhouse in Neillsville.Game scores: 25-20, 25-18, 25-20
Neillsville/Granton improves to 2-1 in the Eastern Cloverbelt. Coach Tia Opelt commented on the win, "We played well tonight, and we bounced back to a level we can compete at. Im glad we played more energy and fundamentals tonight."
Top stats for the night were Lexi Opelt with 2 aces out of 23 good serves, Jocelyn Thur with 12 kills out of 23 attacks, Malory Zickert with 6 on target and 5 good serve receives, Morgan Hauge with 8 on target serve receive, Jocelyn Thur with 4 solo blocks, Lexi Opelt with 16 assists, Mindy Schoengarth with 10 assists, and Morgan Hauge with 15 digs.
The Warriors are at Spencer on Tuesday.
