Neillsville/Granton Girls Open Conference Season With Win

The Neillsville/Granton girls volleyball team open up the Cloverbelt Conference season with a 3-0 win over Colby on Thursday night...Individual game scores were: 25-23, 25-22, 25-17. Coach Tia Opelt said, "We were able to come out with 3 wins right away but we did not play up to our potential. Im proud of the team for coming out with wins, but we could have had a stronger net game."
Top stats for the game were Lexi Opelt with 15 serve attempts and 2 aces, Jocelyn Thur with 11 kills, Ashlee Diestler and Mindy Shoengarth with 6 on target serve receives each, Jocelyn Thur with 7 blocks, Lexi Opelt and Mindy Schoengarth with 16 assists each, and Morgan Hauge assists each.
Neillsville/Granton plays in the Adams-Friendship tournament this Saturday (9/10/16).
