Columbus Catholic Wins Neillsville Triangular

Marshfield Columbus beat both Neillsville/Granton and Assumption on their way to winning the Neillsville/Granton triangular in girls volleyball on Thursday night.Neillsville/Granton played Columbus Catholic first and lost 0-2 (23-25, 18-25). Some of the leading stats for this game were Lexi Opelt with 9 good serves and Morgan Hauge with 7 good serves and 1 ace. Our leading hitter was Morgan Hauge with 6 kills out of 18 attacks, Jocelyn right behind her with 5 kills out of 17 attempts. Jocelyn had 6 blocks. Lexi had 8 assists.
Head coach Tia Opelt said, "We played hard, but unfortunately we didn't come out with a win. We need to improve on our passing to become a stronger team."
The second match was between Marshfield Columbus and Assumption. Columbus won 2-0 (29-27, 25-13)
The third match was between Neillsville/Granton and Assumption, N-G won 2-0 (25-18, 25-27).
