Dads & Lads Awards Held

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their annual Dads & Lads Award Picnic on Thursday, July 14th following the players final summer game.All boys and girls received certificates for their participation. Teams and their honored players included:
Yankees: Landon Bergemann, Pearson Fausett, Maddie Shaw, Andrew Volovsek, Paxton Janicki, Shane Harley, Delayni Fitzl & Zyer Westbay
White Sox: Kobe Roenz, Ava Kruschke, Nolan Langowski, Hunter Von Rueden, Oliver Raine, Brody Kling, Marie Hagmann & Talan Suda
Twins: Hadley Hare, Milo Larsen, Evan Gross, Brailey Opelt, Max Koepp, Siya Patel, Iris Edgington & Parker Bartz
Tigers: Kyle Langreck, Keagan Ormond, Riley Hemp, Nathan Moltzen, Carson Weimer, Joy Weimer, Jose Nava & Kacey Beelman
Following the ceremony ice-cream and rootbeer donated by the Neillsville A&W was enjoyed by all.
Dads and Lads is a baseball program for 6 year old boys and girls which stresses parental involvement and concentrates on the fundamentals of the sport with no emphasis on winning and losing.
The Recreation Department would like to thank the volunteer coaches of the program: Andrea Kruschke, Jason Koepp, Dewey Larsen, Mike Von Ruden, Luke Bergemann, Russ Fausett, Ashley Volovsek, Kate Hare, Jodi Gross, Matt Roenz, Jake Ormond, Andy Hemp, Kevin Langreck, Leah Janicki & Matt Langowski.
