Neillsville/Granton Girls Take First In Osseo

The Neillsville/Granton girls track team finished first at the 41st Matye Invitational on Friday in Osseo. The boys team finished 3rd.

The boy’s 4x200m relay, consisting of Barth, Dux, Jacob Walter and Chase Ehlers, not only won their event but also broke the Invitational record held by Cadott in 2002 (1:36.1) with a time of 1:35.4.

Willow Eisfeldt tied the Invitational’s pole vault record with her personal best vault of 9-0. Freshman, Karter Rueth vaulted his best by a foot at 10-6 scoring 3rd overall. High jumpers Isaac Bryan jumped his personal best by 4 inches at 5-10 and Lauren Mesar jumped her best at 5-0; both scoring 2nds for their team. Triple jumpers, Nolan Watton and Mindy Schoengarth jumped their best and throwers Grace King and Jacob Waltemate threw their best marks.
