Kurth Pitches Neillsville To Victory

Senior pitcher Jason Kurth allowed just 2 hits as Neillsville beat Greenwood 8-1 on Friday.Kurth went the distance for the Warriors, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits in 7 innings, striking out 8 and walking 5. Greenwood's lone run came in the first inning after Jason walked the bases loaded and threw a couple of wild pitches.
Offensively for Neillsville, David Harder was 1 for 4 with 3 runs scored and Jake Kunze was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. The Warriors scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning, 1 each in the 3rd and 5th and 2 more in the 7th.
The Warriors improve to 7-3 in the ECC and 7-5 overall. Greenwood falls to 5-5 in the ECC and 5-7 overall.
