Thorp Stays Unbeaten

The Thorp Cardinal girls softball team stayed unbeaten on the season after an 8-0 win over McDonell Central on Thursday.Cardinal pitcher Lizzy Schimke threw a complete game one hitter, striking out 12 and walking none. Schmike struck out 7 in a row at point and only two Mack players reached base in the game, the first came on a hit to lead off the 4th inning.
Four Cardinals had 2 hits including Taylor Stroinski, Jordan Chapman, Karley Krzanski and Lyndsey Tyznik. Stroinski also scored 3 runs in the game.
Thorp, now 15-0 on the season, will travel to Poynette for the Poynette Jamboree on Friday to take on Winnecone. They will face Cuba City on Saturday morning.
