Eau Claire Regis won the 1st place playoff game over Loyal and Fall Creek beat Neillsville in the 2nd place playoff in girls Cloverbelt Conference basketball on Saturday night....

Neillsville led at the half 22-19 with Mindy Schoengarth leading the way with 10 points.

In the second half Neillsville held the lead for most of the time until later in the half when it became a see-saw affair. With the score 52-49, Ashlee Dietsler had a potential game-tying three pointer pop in and out. Fall Creek converted their freethrows down the stretch to pull away and then a three pointer at the buzzer by the Warrior's Kayla Lis made the final 56-52 in favor of the Crickets.

Schoengarth led the Warriors with 15 points, Dani Pfeiffer had 12 points and Lis added 10. Whitney Folkers of Fall Creek led all scorers with a game high 18 points.

The first place playoff game was also a close game throughout the first half with Loyal leading Regis 37-33 at the break. Both Karsyn Rueth and Morgan Reinwand had 14 points to lead the Greyhounds.

The second half started with Regis outscoring Loyal 17-3 to go up by 10 at 50-40. The Greyhounds fought back and made it a close game at the end but Regis hung on for the win, 76-72.
