Neillsville Girls Beat Greenwood

The Neillsville girls basketball team improved to 10-2 in the Eastern Cloverbelt after a 45-26 win over Greenwood on Thursday night at Greenwood.The Warriors defense caused numerous Greenwood turnovers in the first half leading to a 29-15 halftime lead. Dani Pfieffer had 13 of those points for Neillsville.
In the second half, Neillsville went cold from the field, missing from both the outside and inside, and from the free throw line, making just 3 of 7 in the half and only 4 for 12 in the game. Neillsville outscored Greenwood just 16-11 in the second half.
Pfieffer led all scorers with 17 points, Lauren Mesar added 8. Kaylee Meyer had 9 points to lead Greenwood.
Neillsville improved to 14-3 overall and 10-2 in the ECC while Greenwood fell to 3-13 overall and 2-10 in conference play.
