Kunze Has Career High 26 In Warrior Win

Senior Jake Kunze had a career high 26 points to lead Neillsville past Loyal 73-65 in Eastern Cloverbelt boys basketball on Thursday night in Loyal.

Kunze had 13 first half points, but the Warriors trailed the Greyhounds 31-28 at the break as Loyal's Cameron Brussow led the way with 15.

The second half belonged to Neillsville as they outscored Loyal 45-34. Kunze had 13 second half points and Michael Dux added 14 in the half to finish with 23. David Harder came off the bench to score 12 points in the game.

Cameron Brussow led Loyal with 25 points, Riley Geiger had 15 and Luke Bogdonovich added 13.

Neillsville improved to 3-0 in the ECC and 3-2 overall while Loyal fell to 1-2 in the conference and 2-2 overall.

The Warriors will have a tough test on Tuesday night when they travel to Marshfield Columbus to take on the Dons.
