Neillsville Girls End Season In Spencer

The Neillsville girls volleyball season came to an end in the WIAA Regional Semi-Final at Spencer on Thursday.Neillsville went up against the #1 seeded Rockets and according to head coach Tia Opelt, they put up a fight, but came up short, losing 3 - 0.
The Warriors played Spencer during the Cloverbelt Conference season and coach Opelt said "We knew this would be a tough game but we were ready for them this time."
All the games were within 2 points..24-26, 23-25, 23-25.
As a team, the Warriors were 96% for serves missing only 3 serves total. Coach Opelt said, "I'm proud of hard the girls played tonight, and we lost to a good team. I'm proud of the girls and the season we had together."

Dani Pfeiffer-serving (1 ace, 9 good), attacks (16 kills, 20 good)
Mindy Schoengarth-serving (1 ace, 9 good), setting (23 assists, 42 good)
Lexi Opelt-serving (14 good), setting (12 assists, 28 good)
Jocelyn Thur-serving (1 ace, 13 good), attacks (4 kills, 15 good)
Morgan Hauge- attacks (10 kills, 23 good), 11 digs
Malory Zickert- serve receive (14 to target), 9 digs
Alex Bixby-blocks (3 solo, 7 assists)
Spencer will host Loyal/Granton in the Regional Final on Saturday night.
