Spencer/Columbus Dominates Neillsville

The Spencer/Columbus football team proved why they are one of the top teams in this area as they dominated Neillsville in Cloverbelt football on Friday night 60-6.The Rockets scored early and often on the Warriors taking the opening down the field in 5 plays, culminating in a 2 yard score by Jonny Tomke to make the score 6-0.
Spencer/Columbus would score three more times in the first quarter including a blocked punt for a score by Ryan Busse.
The score was 41-0 in the first half before Neillsville would get their only score of the game, a 76 yard kick off return by Jahean McGee with 5:42 to go before the half.
Spencer/Columbus would score two more times in the second half with touchdown runs from Jacob Miller and Carson Hildebrandt to make the final 60-6.
The Rockets have now scored 140 points and have given up just 18 on the season and they are now 3-0 heading into a matchup with Colby next Friday.
Neillsville falls to 0-2 in the Cloverbelt and 1-2 overall. They hope to get a few injured players back on the field when they travel to Altoona next Friday.
