Neillsville's Season Ends In Osseo

The Neillsville baseball team saw their season come to end after an 8-0 loss in the Sectional Semi-Final matchup with La Crosse Aquinas in Osseo on Tuesday.The Warriors (24-2) gave up 4 runs in the second inning, 3 of those coming on an error by Nate McDonald in center field.
Aquinas would score two more runs in the 3rd inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead. The Blugolds would get two more runs in the eighth to make the final 8-0.
Neillsville could only muster 3 hits against Alex Schulte. Nolan Matson, Nathan Peterson and Nate McDonald all collecting hits. Neillsville's Sam Neville went the distance allowing 8 runs, however the Warriors committed 5 errors in the game, so most of those were unearned. Neville struck out 5 and walked two.
Aquinas (24-3), meanwhile had 9 hits and they committed 3 errors in the game.
