Pavlac's Walk-Off Homer Lifts Neillsville To Regional Final

A bottom of 7th walk-off two-run homer by Jenna Pavlac lifted the Neillsville Warriors to a 5-3 win over Fall Creek in a Div. 3 Regional Semi-Final on Thursday in girls softball.Pavlac also had an RBI single in the first inning to get Neillsville on the board first. The Warriors scored two more runs in the 2nd on a 2 RBI single from Bailey Johnson to put them up 3-0.
That score would hold up until the top of the 4th when Fall Creek scored two runs on 2 hits and an error to make it 3-2. The Crickets would tie the score in the top of the 6th on an RBI single by Emma Mabie.
In the 7th, Neillsville pitcher Allie Pfieffer would allow a hit but struck out the side to keep the score tied at 3.
In the bottom of the 7th, Dani Pfieffer led off with a walk, Ashley Dietsler struck out and then Pavlac hit a long drive off the top of the left field fence to win it for Neillsville.
Pavlac finished 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's while Johnson finished 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's. The only other hit for Neillsville in the game came on a triple from Taylor Henchen in the 3rd. The Warriors did walk 8 times in the game as well.
Allie Pfieffer finished the game going 7 innings, allowing 3 runs, 1 earned on 7 hits while striking out 11 and walking none.
Neillsville will now take on Osseo-Fairchild, who beat Cadott 6-5 in 8 innings, in the Regional Final on Friday at Neillsville. Game time is 5 pm.
