Spencer Girls Softball Clinch ECC Title

After a doubleheader sweep of Neillsville on Tuesday, the Spencer Rocket girl's softball team clinched their third Cloverbelt East conference championship in the past six seasons.Spencer won the first game of the twin bill 7-2. Kallie Reckner went 3 for 4 with a double to lead the Rockets.
In game two, Spencer scored one run the 2nd and one in the 3rd to win 2-0. Macie Weber went 3 for 3 with a triple for Spencer. She also was the winning pitcher in both games.
Allie Pfieffer took the loss in both games, striking out 6 and walking just one in the two games combined.
Spencer, now 13-0 in the ECC, could finish unbeaten in the conference for the first time with a win over Colby on Thursday. Neillsville finishes the conference season 7-7.
