Neillsville Improves To 7-0 On Season

The Neillsville baseball team improved to 7-0 on the season after an 11-1 five inning win over Spencer on Monday.With Neillsville leading 1-0 going into the bottom of the 4th inning, Neillsville scored 8 runs on 6 hits led by a 2 run homer by Neal Matson to pull away for the win. Jake Kunze had an RBI single in the inning and Nolan Matson had an RBI triple.
Nolan Matson finished 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored, while Nathan Peterson finished 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, Jason Kurth 2 for 3 with an RBI and Neal Matson 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's.
Spencer only managed 2 hits off Neillsville starter Sam Neville who finished with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in 5 innings.
Neillsville has now scored 89 runs in 7 games. They improve to 6-0 in the Eastern Cloverbelt while Spencer falls to 2-1 in the conference and 4-2 overall.
