WIAC With Most NCAA D3 Championships In NCAA History

The WIAC captured three NCAA Division III national championships during the winter sports season. The added honors bring the overall total of NCAA national championships held by the WIAC to 107 - the most by any Division III conference in NCAA history.The first two titles of the winter sports season were earned by UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse at the men's and women's indoor track & field championships.
The third first-place finish for the winter sports season was earned by UW-Stevens Point's men's basketball team after a 70-54 victory over Augustana College (Ill.). The Pointers claimed the fourth national championship in program history.
