YOUTH BOOSTER CLUB VOLEYBALL TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The Neillsville Booster Club held their annual Girl's Youth Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, April 11th.Twenty-five, 5th through 8th grade teams from around Central Wisconsin competed in the tournament.
In the 5th grade competition, Neillsville Red and White combined to win four matches and lost two. Members of the squads who are coached by Lisa Boyer, Michelle Grap, Kayla Opelt, Cindy Hoeser and Jenny Erickson include: Karsen Czarnecki, Jayden Bymers, Lauren Langreck, Maggie Hoeser, Kylie Boyer, Alexa Ball, Malana Gurney, Morgan Gurney, Bridget Canfield, Madelline Waters, Rylee Courtney, Kara Oldham, Kyra Rakovec, Kattie Roidt, MacKenzie Keller and Kira Schier.
In the sixth grade division eight teams competed with the local squads finishing with a 4-4 match record. Members of the group who are coached by Missy Stockheimer, Sunni Opelt, Kelsey Ruggles and Chelsea Opelt include: Bella Opelt, Emily Hanson, Emma Vance, Sarah Hahn, Sarah Dux, Jaden Barth, Lauren Pfuhl, Terren Stockheimer, Kaitlin Zimmerman, Jayda Harris, Libny Castillo, Taylor Boon, Amber Gurney, Aubrey Anderson, Abby Calkins, Arianna Rochester, Emma Vine, Haylo Schoen, Thea Blum, Raven Lisiecki & Makayla Hodgson.
In the 7th grade portion of the tourney the two Neillsville teams combined for a 6-2 record. The team who is coached by Sue Voigt, Lexi Opelt & Carrie Schmidt includes: Alli Schoengarth, Montana Opelt, Morgan Bloch, Deijanira Diaz, Riley Voigt, Kaitlin Thoma, Abby Averill, Kaia Moseid, Ellie Moseid, Taylan Schoengarth, Teeghan Mahoney, Josie Voigt, Melissa Pohle, Shauntae Decorah, Catrina Craig, Emily Galetka, Olivia Pfuhl, Olivia Friemoth, Allison King and Callie Schmidt.
In the final eighth grade bracket the local girls finished the day with a 2-2 record. Todd and Dawn Zickert coach the team who include: Samantha Cappadora, Kassidy Collins, Allison Erickson, Mady Koprek, Samantha Kuhn, Lisa Smith, Lizzy Springer, McKenzie Vine and Vanessa Zickert.
In the daylong competition, forty-eight matches were contested. The Booster Club would like to thank the many volunteers who helped officiate, scorekeep, take tickets or work the concession stand.
All proceeds are used to support youth volleyball at Neillsville schools.
