Gieger Wins 3-Point Contest!

Riley Geiger, a sophomore from Loyal, won the inaugural boys' 3-Point Challenge held Saturday at the Kohl Center in conjunction with the celebration of the 100th State Boys Basketball Tournament.

Geiger was one of 10 participants in the contest. He scored 20 points in the final round to win the contest. Philip Flory of Oshkosh North was second.

Geiger scored 20 points in the opening round and 17 in the semifinals.

Other participants were Blake Johnson of Oshosh West, Cole McDonald of Darlington, Christian Haffner of Gresham Community, William Brown of Darien-Delavan, Logan Maulick of Freedom and Bailey Kale of La Crosse Central, Jake Hierlmeier of Glenwood City and Tanner Bruchs of Poynette.

The top two players per division were selected for the contest based on the best 3-point field goal percentage with a minimum of 75 attempts during the regular season.
