TRI-STAR BASKETBALL WINNERS

The Optimist Club of Neillsville conducted their annual Tri-Star Basketball competition for boys and girls ages 8-13 on Friday, March 13th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Over 55 children participated with the top winners in each age category as follows:
8 years old
1st: Boys - Nolyn McFarlane, Girls - Paris Opelt
2nd: Boys - Joey Vance, Girls - Lilly Opelt
3rd: Boys - Keegan Pozega, Girls - Addison Anderson-Ruskin
4th: Boys - Colter Dillenbeck, Girls - Gracie Schoengarth
5th: Boys - Max Krietlow, Girls - Ava Miller
9 years old
1st: Boys - Braylon Boyer, Girls - Delaney Rochester
2nd: Girls - Paige Voigt
3rd: Girls - Olivia Koprek
4th: Girls - Jada Gurney
10 years old

The event included competition in passing, dribbling and shooting skills. Each first place winner received a plaque, while all other participants received medals or ribbons. The first place winners in the local contest now have the opportunity to compete in the state Tri-Star competition held in Fond du Lac in April.
