Adult Volleyball Tournament Results

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their "25th Annual" Adult Women's Tournament on Saturday, March 14th at the Neillsville Fieldhouse.Fourteen teams competed in the women's tourney with "Godzilla" of Marshfield being crowned the champion. Members of their team included; Farrah Uphoff, Kat Egle, Tonya Schlaghaft, Sydney Seidel, Ashley Howard, Natalie Anderson and Kari Jehn. Placing second was "Athens" with "Dirty Half Dozen" from Marshfield placing third and "Nipps" from Marshfield rounding out the top four. "Team Pohl" from Marshfield captured 5th place as they slid by "Extreme Athletes" of Augusta. Placing 7th was "Looney's" of Marshfield with "JBC Screenprinting & Embroidery" of Neillsville grabbing 8th place. Members of the local team included: Claire Brown, Mindy Kren, Katarina Nemitz, Amanda & Kate Mueller, Cassie Harder and Sami Pfeiffer. In the consolation championship, "Sexy Itches" of Sun Prairie won the title as they edged "Hitting Bricks" of Athens. "Diggin & Swiggin" of Marshfield secured 11th place with "Lynn Brothers" of Colby, Little Bull Falls" of Pittsville and "Semi Pro" of Sparta, rounding out the standings.
The Recreation Department also sponsored there, "2nd Annual, Coed 4's Tourney" later in the day. Sixteen teams participated. Winning the title was "Captain America" of Weston, with "Team Pie" of Oshkosh settling for second place. A two way tie for third place was attained by "Clobber Squad" of Menomonie and "Krens" of Eau Claire.
The Rec. Dept. would like to thank Gordy's Market who provided pizza for all the teams while Drippy Creek Saloon, Brickyard Bar & Grill, Green Lantern and Buck's Dollar Bar donated complimentary beverages.
