Spencer Clinches First ECC Title

With a 58-40 win over Colby on Friday night, the Spencer boys basketball team clinched their first ever Eastern Cloverbelt Conference title.The Rockets opened up a close game with a 25-12 second quarter advantage and they never let the Hornets get close again.
The Rockets were led by Bobby Pilz with 19 points, Calvin Lenz had 13 and Miles Weber added 10.
Spencer is now 14-1 in the ECC and 18-3 overall. They will wrap up the regular season on Monday night when they host Marshfield Columbus. The Dons are currently tied with Neillsville for second place in the ECC.
