Neillsville Girls Improve To 12-3 In ECC

The Neillsville girls basketball team improved to 12-3 in the Eastern Cloverbelt after a 46-29 win over Spencer on Friday night.The Warriors and Rockets played pretty even during the first quarter as Neillsville held a slim 10-8 lead. Allie Pfieffer had 6 of her 8 points in the quarter.
In the second quarter, the Warriors outscored the Rockets 20-8, led by Kayla Lis with 7 points. Neillsville then led at the half 30-16.
In a low-scoring second half, Neillsville outscored Spencer 16-13 to get the 46-29 win.
Lis led the Warriors with 9 points, Chelsea Opelt and Allie Pfieffer each had 8.
Lexi Baehr had 8 points to lead Spencer.
The Warriors improved to 15-4 overall, while Spencer dropped to 4-11 in the conference and 5-14 overall.
Neillsville will be at Granton to close out the regular season on Monday night.
