Lis Leads Neillsville To Win Over Greenwood

Sophomore Kayla Lis scored a season high 14 points as Neillsville downed Greenwood 48-27 in Eastern Cloverbelt girls basketball on Thursday night.The Warriors outscored the Indians in the 1st quarter 9-3 and then Lis had 6 points in the 2nd quarter as Neillsville outscored Greenwood 13-9 to lead 22-12 at the half.
The third quarter saw Neillsville score 21 points compared to 8 for Greenwood as Lis scored 6 of her 8 second half points and Neillsville opened up their lead to 43-20.
Greenwood outscored Neillsville 7-5 in the 4th quarter, but Neillsville got the win 48-27.
Besides Lis with 14 points, Taylor Henchen added 10 points and Dani Pfieffer had 7.
Greenwood was led by Ashley Walker with 13 points, 8 of those in the second half.
Neillsville improves to 10-3 in the ECC and 14-4 overall while Greenwood falls to 3-10 in the conference and 4-13 overall.
