National Letter Of Intent Signing Day On Wednesday

Thursday, February 5th, 2015 -- 6:40 AM

Wednesday was National Letter of Intent signing day for high school football players and some area athletes are getting set to play at the next level.

Stanley-Boyd's Clint Warminski signed with Division II Winona State. Warminski says the focus on academics was what convinced him to join the Warriors program.

Eau Claire Regis is sending two players to defending Division I FCS national champ North Dakota State. Kicker Cam Pedersen is going to the Bison program as a preferred walk-on, while defensive back and running back Jaxon Brown got a scholarship. Also from Regis, lineman Nolan Kern, signed Division II Sioux Falls.

Other area football players signing letters on intent include:

Hunter Kauffman of Stratford signed to play at Concordia in St. Paul.
Kaleb Wolf of Edgar along with Trevor Ashbeck and Jeremy Statz of Wisconsin Rapids signed to play at Northern Michigan.
