Ellenson And Stone In Top 15 For High School Player of the Year

Dominican senior Diamond Stone and Rice Lake senior Henry Ellenson have made the list of 15 for the Naismith Awards Boys' High School Player of the Year.

The Semi-Finalists will be announced next Tuesday. The Finalists on Feb. 17th and the winner will be announced on Friday, March 6th.

Rice Lake currently sits atop the Big Rivers conference at 5-1 and they are 10-5 overall and ranked No. 8 in Div. 2 of this week's AP Boys Basketball Poll. Ellenson is averaging 27.5 points and 14.5 rebounds a game for the Warriors. He has already committed to playing basketball for Marquette.

Stone is averaging 23.4 points and 12.2 rebounds a game for Dominican which is 11-1 and No. 1 in Div. 4 of this week's AP Poll. Stone, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound foward, is the No. 1 overall recruit nationally in the class of 2015, according to scout.com, and No. 6 in the ESPN.com top 100 recruits for 2015.
