Neillsville Boys Down Gilman

Neillsville made 9 three pointers on their way to a 64-28 victory over Gilman in Eastern Cloverbelt Conference boys basketball on Tuesday night.

The Warriors made three 3's in the first quarter and led 17-10. In the second quarter Neillsville outscored the Pirates 17-5 to open up a 34-15 lead going into halftime. Gilman's Chanse Rosemeyer had 13 of their 15 points in the half.

The second half was all Neillsville as they outscored Gilman 30-13 to win by 36. The Warriors had 4 players in double figures led by Sam Neville, who hit 4 three pointers, with 16, Jason Kurth had 14, Nathan Peterson 11 (9 in the 4th quarter) and Neal Matson added 10 points.

The Pirate's Rosemeyer led all scorers with 18.

Neillsville improves to 7-3 in the ECC and 7-5 overall. Gilman falls to 2-7 in the conference and 3-8 overall.
