Opelt Jumps To No. 5 At 133 Pounds

Sophomore 133-pounder Phillip Opelt of Neillsville jumped five places to No. 5 in the NWCA individual rankings.Opelt went 3-1 for the week, including an 8-6 decision over Luther's fifth-ranked Evan Obert. He leads the Rams in wins with a 9-4 season mark.
Phillip is also rated in the latest D3wrestle.com individual poll at No. 9.
Cornell's wrestling team climbed 10 spots to No. 12 in the NWCA Division III Poll.
The Rams face seventh-ranked and four-time defending NCAA champion Wartburg (3-1) at 7 p.m. Saturday in Waverly.
