Lindner Scores Career High 19 To Lead Panthers

Freshman Jenny Lindner of Neillsville scored a career high 19 points to lead UW-Milwaukee to a 72-63 win over Eastern Illinois on Wednesday afternoon.Lindner played in 33 minutes and was 4 for 17 from the field and 9 for 11 from the freethrow line. Jenny also grabbed 4 rebounds and had 2 steals.
As a team, UW-Milwaukee shot just 35% from the field but made 27 of 33 from the freethrow line.
The Panthers outscored Eastern Illinois 35-20 in first half and then Eastern Illinois had the edge in the second half, outscoring UW-Milwaukee by 9.
UW-Milwaukee (3-5) will host Indiana at the Klotsche Center on Sunday afternoon.
