Neillsville Boys Dominate Gilman

The Neillsville boys basketball team dominated the Gilman Pirates on Tuesday night 61-25.Gilman got out to a 9-8 lead after the first quarter, but it was all Neillsville after that.
The Warriors (1-1, 1-0) outscored the Pirates in the second quarter 24-8 to take a commanding 32-17 lead heading into halftime. Jason Kurth and Sam Neville each had 5 points in the quarter.
In the third quarter, Neillsville held Gilman to just 4 points while scoring 16 themselves. They were led by Nate Peterson who had 8 points in the quarter.
In the final frame, Neillsville again held Gilman to 4 points, outscoring them 13-4 to make the final score 61-25.
Neville led all scorers with 14 points, Kurth had 12 and Peterson added 10 for the Warriors.
Gilman was led by James Copenhaver with 10 points.
