The Cloverbelt, Cloverwood and Marawood Conferences are well represented in Level 3 of the WIAA Football playoffs this weekend...Three teams from the Cloverbelt Conference will be competing this weekend and two of them will go head-to-head as Eau Claire Regis is at Stanley-Boyd in a Level 3 Division 5 playoff game at Stanley's Chapman Park on Friday night at 7 pm. It's a rematch of a week 1 matchup won by Stanley-Boyd 20-0. You can hear the action live on 107.5 FM WCCN The Rock and online at 1075therock.com.
The other Cloverbelt team still alive is the Spencer/Columbus Rockets. In Division 4, as a No. 5 seed, they have beaten the #4 seed Columbus and the #1 seed Wautoma in the first two Levels. Now the Rockets (8-3) go up against #3 seed Little Chute this Saturday afternoon at 4pm in Little Chute.
Owen-Withee is out of the Cloverwood Conference and the 10-1 Blackhawks have scored 40 or more points in each of their first two Division 7 playoff games and will look to keep things rolling against #1 seed Frederic this Saturday afternoon at 1 pm at Frederic.
Athens is also out of the Cloverwood where they finished first and the unbeaten and #1 seeded Bluejays will go against the #2 seeded Spring Valley ball club at Athens on Friday night at 7 in a Division 6 Level 3 matchup.
Also in Division 6 and out of the Marawood Conference are the Edgar Wildcats, no strangers to playoff football, as they get set for a Level 3 matchup with Independence/Gilmanton on Friday night at Edgar. Edgar (11-0) is the No. 1 seed, Independence/Gilmanton the No.3 seed.
