Boys Sectional Cross Country Results

The WIAA Boys Cross Country Sectional meets were held on Friday and Saturday.Friday at the Athens Sectional, Marathon and Marshfield Columbus punched their tickets to the state meet in Wisconsin Rapids next Saturday as a team.
Marathon team members include: Xavier Lechleitner (17:32), Jordan Balz (17:42), Satchel Beranek (17:42), Justin Schwarting (18:18 ), Jordan Dodson (18:22), Silas Beranek (19:17), and Matt Matel (20:34).
Marshfield Columbus team members include: Ben Behling (17:45), Leonard Steinert (18:12), Peyton Nystrom (18:27), Jeremy Binder (18:31), Jeremiah Giles (18:46), Benny Frericks (19:29), and Leo Pittsley (19:53).
Also qualifying for state were the top 5 individuals from non-qualifying teams. Local athletes include: Joshua Langteau, Athens (16:49.8 ) and Cade Lehman, Stratford (17:56.5)
In a sectional Saturday in Black River Falls the Colby/Abbotsford team placed first and advance to the State Meet next week.
Colby/Abbotsford team members include: Sam Bach (17:10.75), Preston Mertins (17:51.51), Alex Kampmeyer (17:59.07), Dillon Novak (18:07.76), Ricky Ortega (18:09.00), Trevor Flick (18:35.44), and Zachary Underwood (19:26.24).
Also qualifying for state were the top 5 individuals from non-qualifying teams. Local athletes include: Benji Eidenschink 16:25.83 and Josh Schraeder (16:29.76), Nekoosa/Port Edwards, and Sawyer Brunkow, Altoona (17:46.51)
